Living With Secondary Breast Cancer Group

Posted on:

We know a diagnosis of secondary breast cancer can mean adjusting to difficult changes in your life, and sometimes it can help to talk with other people in a similar situation. Our Living with Secondary Breast Cancer groups give you the chance to do just that, in a relaxed and supportive environment. Details for our Staffordshire group:

  • When: Usually the first Wednesday of every month (you can go to as many or as few groups as you like)
  • Time: 11am to 1/1.30pm
  • Who: Around 6 to 12 people who are also living with secondary breast cancer. An experienced counsellor will be there to welcome you and facilitate.
  • What: A chance to chat about whatever’s on your mind with other people who understand. Every 3 months you’ll also hear from an
expert speaker on topics such as side effects, fatigue, clinical trials and even creative writing. We’ll sort out drinks and snacks.

If you’d like to come along to the group in Staffordshire you can register online breastcancernow.org/Living-with-Staffordshire

Worried about the cost of travel?

Our services are free to use but we know that getting there might cost you money. We can help with the cost of travelling to the group if you need. Email accessfund@breastcancernow.org or call 0345 077 1893 to speak to someone about what you need or how we can help. Our Access Fund has been donated by ASDA Tickled Pink to help everyone have access to the support they want.
